Looking for a creative, festive activity? This course offers you the opportunity to make your own unique glass Christmas decorations whilst learning the craft of glass fusing.

You will have the opportunity to create your own designs or use templates that will be provided for you. You can expect to make 5-15 decorations depending on how complex your designs are.

Glass fusing is the process of melting glass together in a kiln. We can control the temperature and choose whether to keep texture in our designs or have them fuse completely flat - you can choose between these options for your decorations.

You will have a wide selection of colourful glass, metals and glass paints to use.

Your decorations will be fired overnight in the kilns and will be available to collect from the Monday after the course or posted out to you free of charge.

Minimum age to attend is 16.

Essential Info

Please wear closed-toed shoes and tie back long hair. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or bring an apron.

The course times are 10am – 4pm. There will be a 45-minute lunch break. Lunch is by your own arrangement, I recommend bringing a packed lunch but there are also shops and cafes locally.

This course takes place at Garth Olwg Lifelong Learning Centre, St Illtyds Road, Church Village, Rhondda Cynon Taff, CF38 1RQ. Please aim to arrive five minutes ahead of the course start time so that we can get the fun started promptly!

On booking you will receive a booking confirmation email, I will have a record of this too and you do not need to bring a copy with you.

Cancellations

If you are unable to attend a course you have booked, please let me know as soon as possible. If you give at least 4 weeks’ notice you are eligible for a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date. If you give between 2 and 4 weeks’ notice you are eligible for a 50% refund or a transfer to an alternative date. If you give less than two weeks’ notice you are not eligible for any refund, but where possible I will endeavour to offer an alternative date if the course you are enable to attend can still viably go ahead without your booking. No refunds or alternative dates can be offered if you don’t contact me before the course is due to take place.
